Anne-Line is a genuinely optimistic person whose personal motto is: “How difficult can it be?” She enjoys making things happen, and like her hero MacGyver, she is capable of fixing almost anything.

She has studied both Chinese language and film directing at the Beijing Film Academy, and has a background from film productions in Norway. She started up YouShou Ltd in 2007 and has since worked with projects like the Emmy nominated children production “Ping Pong” as well as NRK’s Beijing 2008 Olympics productions.

Anne-Line is a sucker for Chinese contemporary art, and claims that living in China is the most fun thing she has ever done.

When Silje was a child, her favourite book was “The Children by Yangtze Kiang”. Every night, her mother would read the story about two Chinese children living next to the longest river in China. It might very well be the reason why Silje started Chinese language studies in Oslo, and then moved to Beijing where she has been living and working since 2005.

Silje is an enthusiastic person devoted to politics, photography, cartoons and everything that has to do with China and the Chinese culture. She speaks fluent Chinese and came to YouShou after working with the 2008 Beijing Olympics at the Norwegian Embassy in Beijing.

Silje is a hardworking, Mac-using girl with a love for the colour red!
